      Discover a MySQL database

      Please first read how to use the Discovery Application.

      Discover a MySQL database

      To discover a MySQL database with the Discovery Application, please choose the following source system type:

      Then, fill in the following information:

      • Name: discovery name
        • Example: MySQL_classicmodels
      • Server: host and port to connect to the database
        • Example: localhost,3306
      • Database: database name 
        • Example: classicmodels
      • Authentication Type: must be MySQL Authentication
      • User: user who can connect to the database
        • Example: root
      • Password: password of the user
