Map Terms is the step of the Create Stage wizard that maps the terms of a Source to the new Stage. It has no screen of its own. The wizard runs it, together with Add to View, when you choose NEXT in the first step.

Map Terms

You start the wizard from a Source in Dataflow Modeling: open the menu of the Source, choose Automate and then Create Stage. The wizard lists three steps: Create Model Object, Map Terms and Add to View.

  1. In Create Model Object, set the name, the description and the properties of the Stage, see Wizard step - Create Model Object.
  2. Choose NEXT. The wizard creates the Stage and closes without showing a Map Terms screen.
  3. Check the result: the Stage appears in the current view. Open Manage Term Mappings of the Stage. Every term of the Source is mapped to a term of the Stage.

The step takes all terms of the Source; you cannot choose terms in the wizard. To change a term or a mapping afterwards, see Edit a Term and Edit a Term Mapping.
