AI descriptions is a Large Language Model (LLM) based description generation workflow that produces structured descriptions for target model object terms based on:

Target model object metadata (data types, keys, nullability)

Source model objects and their data types

Dataflow mappings (transformations, expressions, and lineage)

Generator configuration (platform data types, model object types, etc.)
Term descriptions using AI
To produce Term descriptions using AI, access the Term overview page for a Model Object:
Click on the AI icon in the right corner of the Description column:
The Add AI Descriptions for side panel windows opens:
The generated descriptions are highlighted in purple.
You can select the ones fitting your expectations, then click on the APPLY button:
The generated descriptions were added to the terms:
