Map Terms using AI-driven semantic mapping

AI Mapping is an automated solution powered by a Large Language Model (LLM) that matches and reconciles data models, including both individual/multiple terms (columns/attributes) and complex expressions.

It provides a semantic bridge between Sources and a Target Model Object, understanding the underlying business context to generate accurate mappings and expression transformations.

Unlike simple name matching, it uses semantic intelligence to understand meaning even when names differ, work across multiple languages, and expand abbreviations into full names.

The solution can create or update terms, mappings, and expressions, producing validated, schema-checked, implementation-ready actions that can be safely applied.

Map Terms using AI

To map Terms using AI-driven semantic mapping, access the Term Mapping overview page for a Model Object:

Open the Source Model Object context menu and choose the AI Term Mapping option:

You can open the AI Term Mapping from any Source Model Object. All the Source Model Objects will be taken care.

The AI-Powered Term Mapping pop-up displays:

You can write some optional instructions to help the AI propose the correct mapping.

Example:

The sales amount is the order quantity * the unit price. It is similar for the discount amount, but consider the discount. The profit includes unit price and discount. product cost amount depends on standard cost with quantities.

Click on the NEXT button.

The AI proposes mapping according to the Term names and the optional instructions provided:

If this fits your expectations, click ont the APPLY button.

The mapping proposed by the AI Term Mapping is added to your target Model Object:
