Manage Linked Projects
In the Data Connections overview page, there are two ways to Manage the Linked Projects:
- Import another Project to be used as a Linked Project in the Project
- Export the Project to be used as a Linked Project in another Project
Depending on your license, you may have no access to the Linked Project feature.
If this is the case, you will not see the Import and Export options in the left menu.
Import
The Import page displays all Imported Projects and their respective Versions. To view the Versions within an Imported Project, expand that Imported Project.
If an Import version was created from a Data Marketplace Data Product, and that Data Product contains a new version of the Data Contract, the message Update available appears next to the Import:
If an Import version was created from a Data Marketplace Data Product, and the Data Contract version used in the Import version is marked as obsolete in the Data product, the tag Obsolete appears near the Import version.
On this page, you can:
- Add an Import Version in a Linked project
- Update a Data Contract Import to a new version:
By clicking the Update button, the Update Source Model Objects from a new Import Version pop-up is displayed to compare the new version to the current one - Create Model Objects from a Linked Project Import version
- Switch to another Import Version
- View an Import Version
- Delete an Import version
Export
In the Export page, you can see Exported Projects.
On this page, you can:
- Export a Project to be used as a Linked Project
- Re-export a Project that has already been exported
- Delete a Project export
