Access the [**Term overview**](https://knowledge.bigenius-x.com/understand-terms-overview?hsLang=en) page for a Model Object, then click on the **Context** menu and select the **Edit Term** option: ![](https://knowledge.bigenius-x.com/hubfs/image-png-Sep-14-2023-11-18-56-3303-AM.png) 2. Access the [**Term Mapping overview**](https://knowledge.bigenius-x.com/understand-term-mapping-overview?hsLang=en) page for a Model Object, then click on the **Context** menu and select the **Edit Term** option:  ![](https://knowledge.bigenius-x.com/hubfs/image-png-Sep-14-2023-11-18-18-3979-AM.png) The **Edit Term** side panel window is opened with the possibility to update all the information: ![](https://knowledge.bigenius-x.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Jul-20-2023-01-24-16-2265-PM.png?width=610&height=644&name=image-png-Jul-20-2023-01-24-16-2265-PM.png) When editing the Term name, a checkbox appears: ![](https://knowledge.bigenius-x.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Nov-12-2024-05-36-10-2755-PM.png?width=688&height=68&name=image-png-Nov-12-2024-05-36-10-2755-PM.png) If you check the **Apply change to Data Lineage** box, the renaming will be applied to **all the Terms along the Term Data Lineage**. This is true only from the **left to the right** and for Terms with the **same name**.
