Edit a Custom Property
To edit a Custom Property, access the Advanced Settings overview page and select the CUSTOM PROPERTIES tab.
The Manage Custom Properties page is displayed:
Hover over a Custom Property, the Context menu is displayed:
Click on the Context menu for a Custom Property and select the Edit menu:
The Edit Property side panel window is opened:
You can edit the following information:
- Name: Custom Property name
- Description (optional): Custom Property description
- Property Group: Custom Property Group
- Allow to group the display of Custom Properties where they are displayed
- It can have the following values:
- Allowed Values: Custom Property allowed values
- Visible only if the Custom Property Type is Select or Multi-Select
- List of authorized values separated with a comma
- Default Value: Custom Property default value
- If the Custom Property Type is Select or Multi Select, the default value should be chosen in this list:
- If the Custom Property Type is Boolean, the default value field is a checkbox:
- The default value can be empty if you don't want to set one
- If the Custom Property Type is Select or Multi Select, the default value should be chosen in this list:
If you change a default value, all the Entity Type items (Model Objects, Dataflows...) set with the default value will have the new Default Value set automatically as the information message says:
Click on the SAVE button.
A pop-up appears to choose how to proceed with existing objects about the new default value:
- No updates: no changes in Model Object property value
- Update All: all the Model Objects will be updated with the new Custom Property default value
- Update Specific: only the Model Object containing the previous default value will be updated with the new default value
