Create a Business Hub

A Model Object of type Business Hub can be created in the Business Vault Layer.

What is a Business Hub

In Data Vault modeling, a Business Hub represents a structural object.

A Business Hub should have a set of business keys to identify a unique data entry.

It is part of the Business Vault area and permits implementing the business rules behind the Raw Vault area.

Creation steps

A Business Hub can be created in the same way as a Hub: see Create a Hub. 

Except:

• The wizard is called Create a Business Hub from a Raw Vault Model Object

Properties

A Business Hub Model Object can be configured through the same Properties as a Hub: see Create a Hub.  

Default Terms

A Business Hub Model Object will include the same Default Terms as a Hub: see Create a Hub.   

Business Rules

A Business Hub Model Object will include the same Business Rules checks as a Hub: see Create a Hub.
